December 2008 meeting

One Saturday meeting of the London Shogi Club is planned for December, which will be on 13.12.2008. David Faldon will be around from 10am at Caffe Nero, 10 Bedford Street, London WC2E 7HE. [map]

Everyone is very welcome, regardless of strength or experience.

The nearest rail station is Charing Cross. Embankment, Covent Garden and Leicester Square underground stations are close, but it's best to check which lines are running with Transport for London

If you want to confirm attendance, feel free to let us know by leaving a comment or sending an email.

I think posting the meeting notice to www.chess.com is worth while giving it a try. It has event notice feature at http://www.chess.com/events

The mumber of the members of chess.com is increasing by 1500 to 2000 persons every day these days. The members from UK exceed 20,000 and those from England is over 4000.(ref. http://www.chess.com/members/member_countries.html )

I guess some certain percentage of chess players must get interested in shogi. So I think it may be a good way to post the shogi event information on Chess.com. It's required to be a member of it to post the event info. For your reference, I posted the info of coming PlayOK on-line tournament at
