Shogi London Supplement has moved / new online resources

Shogi London Supplement has been moved by Google from the old 'googlepages' system to the new 'googlesites', and its web address has changed as a result. The old links will still work, and links on this site have now been updated.

A number of pages stopped working and some bits looked bad, so I've taken the opportunity to tidy things up. I've also added links to some more online shogi resources, including the long established Shogi-L mailing list, an excellent series of instructional videos on Youtube from Japanese amateur Hidetchi, and a new community 81 Square Universe.

Shogi London Supplement

An extra website Shogi London Supplement has been set up to provide information on London, UK and other shogi which doesn't necessarily count as news.

At the moment, most of the material reflects similar articles on Shogi London, but the intention is that Shogi London Supplement will merge information from new articles and reflect the most up to date position.

Eventually it will contain material and links for beginners, rather than assuming readers already know all this. The first piece of new content is a more detailed report on the 2008 British Open Shogi Championships than provided in Shogi London.

Links to other shogi resources

The Shogi London pages may link more widely in future, but useful non-UK shogi resources include

Shogi.Net
(Pieter Stouten's comprehensive site also linking to the Shogi-L list)
Takodori's Entrance to Shogi World (Particularly good for teaching resources in English)
Shogi Prospect (Russian/English site and forum)

These are all good, but most importantly they link to other useful and interesting webpages. Shogi.Net is the most well established, but isn't updated that frequently. Shogi Prospect is looking to develop as an international forum
